Have you ever wondered what Daffodils smell like?

As you wander through our Woods, Parks or Gardens during Spring, have you ever wondered what Daffodils smell like?

This wonderful flower a member of the Amaryllis Family has been with us for thousands of years, and were used by our ancestors both medicinally and botanically.

Narcissus oil has been used for many different reasons, in both ancient Rome and the Middle East it was used in the creation of Perfume. It was also used in many countries for the prevention of ailments ranging from hysteria to baldness, whether it was successful in any of these applications we do not know. However one thing we do know is that it has been a much loved fragrant oil, that is as valued today as it was in ancient Rome.

Do Daffodils have a fragrance: luxury scented candles, natural / organic reed diffusers and refill oils, room perfume sprays

So if like William Wordsworth you do espy ” A host, of golden daffodils; Beside the lake, beneath the trees, Fluttering and dancing in the breeze. Or simply catch a glimpse of them as you pass by, why not stop and inhale their wonderful perfume especially if they are ‘wild or un-cultivated Daffodils that still retain their wonderful perfume. Which is described at times as ‘Heady Floral with Sweet Green Nuances, or a Spicy, warm Musk with Vanillic undertones.
